1. Analyze the parts drawing

According to the part drawing, through the analysis of the material, shape, size and accuracy, surface quality, blank condition and heat treatment requirements of the part, the processing content and requirements are clarified, and the appropriate CNC machining center is selected.

2. Determine the process

On the basis of analyzing the part pattern, determine the processing technology (such as determining the positioning mode, selecting the tooling fixture, etc.) and the processing route (such as determining the tool setting point, the tool route, etc.), and determine the cutting amount.

3. Numerical calculation

Numerical calculation is to calculate the input data required for CNC machining according to the geometric size of the part and the determined processing route; Parts with simple shapes can be calculated directly, while parts with complex shapes need to be calculated with the help of computers and related software.

4. Write processing programs

After the completion of the process treatment and mathematical processing work, the parts processing program should be written paragraph by paragraph according to the instructions of the numerical control system of the machine tool used, the program section format, the process flow, the numerical calculation results and the auxiliary operation requirements, and in accordance with the program instructions and format requirements specified by the numerical control system.

5. Program input

There are two commonly used methods to input the written program into the numerical control system: manual input on the operation panel of the CNC milling machine; Using the DNC (data transmission) function, the program is first entered into the computer, and then the processing program is entered into the CNC system by the special CNC transmission software, and then called out for execution, or machining while transmitting.

6. Program verification

After the program is prepared, the program operation check must be carried out. Generally, the machining program should go through calibration and test cutting before it can be used for formal machining.
