Horizontal machining center refers to a machining center machine tool in which the spindle axis is set parallel to the worktable. It can process larger parts, and can be indexed rotary processing, which is most suitable for multi-process processing such as milling, drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, two-dimensional, three-dimensional curved surface, etc., and has the good performance of completing the box hole system and plane processing in a clamping, and is also particularly suitable for the turning and boring processing of the box hole, which is widely used in automobiles, internal combustion engines, aerospace, home appliances, general machinery and other industries.
Horizontal machining centers are divided into fixed column type and mobile column type according to whether the column moves.
1. Fixed column type
1). The workbench crosses the movement, the workbench moves in the X and Z directions, the spindle box moves in the Y direction, and the headstock has two forms of positive hanging and side hanging on the column. It is suitable for boring, milling and other multi-process processing of medium-sized and complex parts.
2). The headstock crosses the movement, the headstock moves in the X and Z directions, and the workbench moves in the Y direction. It is suitable for multi-process processing such as boring and milling of small and medium-sized parts.
3). The headstock is side-hung and the column, and the headstock moves in the Y and Z directions, which is similar to the planing table type horizontal milling and boring machine, and the workbench moves in the X direction. It is suitable for multi-process processing such as boring and milling of medium-sized parts.
2. Mobile column type
1). Planing table type, the bed is T-shaped, the workbench moves in the X direction on the front bed, and the column moves in the Z direction on the rear bed. The headstock has two forms of positive hanging and side hanging on the column, which moves in the Y direction. It is suitable for medium and large parts, especially boring, milling and other multi-process processing of large parts.
2). The column crosses the movement type, the column moves in Z and U (parallel to the X direction), the spindle box moves in the Y direction on the column, and the workbench moves in the X direction on the front bed. It is suitable for boring, milling and other multi-process processing of medium-sized and complex parts.
3). Spindle ram feed type, the spindle box moves in the Y-direction on the column, and the spindle ram moves in the Z-direction. The column moves in the X direction. The table is fixed or equipped with a rotary table. It can be equipped with multiple worktables, suitable for small and medium-sized multi-part processing, and the workpiece loading and unloading and cutting time can coincide.
